PLAYOFF INFO

Hey guys Week 1 of the playoffs starts TODAY! I made some changes to the site to make it much more convenient.

• First of all, everything that you need to know is going to be on the bracket HERE. The schedule is there, plus to see who is dead and who is alive in each matchup just click the "Game _ Details" Button in between the team names to see.
• Also please note that there is a 1 week break in between the final four and the championship because of Thanksgiving week. It is also a good time for the 2 teams to plan or whatever.
• Last but not least, good luck!

Couple of quick things to add going into this week.

1. Some people brought this up to me, so I'll address it here. Ricochet kills do not count. It has to hit the person directly, it cannot bounce of a wall or roll to the person's foot or anything like that. It has to be a direct hit.

2. The playoffs will end up being all 16 teams. I feel that it'd be unfair to say I am cutting some teams at this point in the season, because that team may have tried harder or something. There will be seeding and rankings and whatnot, so the better your regular season record the better shot you have. Believe me, some teams are a lot better than others.

Really hectic week last week with lots of kills, disputes, and close match ups. A couple of things going into this week

1. I changed the format of the "Scores this Week" tab because it is 1000 times easier to make and edit this way, it just makes the page a little longer, and if its confusing at all let me know
2. READ THE RULES! A lot of these disputes that have gone on are because some people are oblivious to the fact that there are indeed rules to this game. Take 5 minutes out of your day to read the rules completely, this will prevent further disputes
3. Lastly, honesty is key. If you got shot, just go out for god's sake no need to lie about it. On the other hand, if the shooter says he got you then you are out. If you don't think you felt it you have to realize that these bullets are small and made of foam, if it catches your backpack or a loose piece of clothing there is a chance you may not feel it. If anyone continuously breaks this bond of trust then there have to be penalties.

Alright we have everyone paid, so the prize money is $400, if you can't do the math that's $80 per person.


The money is in an offshore banking account in Nauru so it will be safe until the playoffs have concluded.

Week 2 is on its way! We only had a couple of ties and only 1 was because of no kills, so very active week pretty awesome.

I just need money from one more team but I have been talking with that person so we are all good on that front.

Rules and Regulations: Just what it sounds like

Hey guys, just a quick update. I need a couple things from some teams.

1. If you haven't decided on a team name, just let me know as soon as you can. Really isnt that difficult
2. If your team hasn't paid me,  I need the money before the season starts (next monday), so make that happen. I only have money from two teams.
3. This one is important. TEAMS MUST BE GIVEN TO ME BEFORE SUNDAY (Sep. 18) MORNING. after that I wont be adding any more because season starts that monday (sep. 19), and I want to make schedules and teams deserve to know who they play a couple hours before the week starts. Thats very important

I just want to address some issues from last year that I want to improve, including rulings and whatnot.

NEW RULES

1. Essex Road is OFF LIMITS. No one can be killed on it until it crosses with Sunset Road (you would be off of the New Trier curb anyway.
2. The New Trier shuttles are OFF LIMITS. You cannot be shot while on the bus, there was some dispute  over this last year. Once you step off the bus, you are fair game (as long as you aren't on school property of course)
3. If there is a tie after the week ends, there won't be a tiebreaker. Once the playoffs begin, ill mention tiebreakers more in another post.
4. Will Rudnick brought this up, there are these new Nerf Vortex gun things that shoot discs, and he asked if they should be legal or not. At first I thought it would be fair, but in the rules it says "Only authorized nerf or nerf-like guns will be permitted. No nerf footballs, nerf swords, BB guns, paintball guns, or real guns. Only nerf bullets are allowed." I feel if I let these disc shooting things be legal, then footballs and swords would also want to be used. I like the idea, but I'm gonna say no, just so we can stick to the rules and only use nerf bullets.    OTHER NOTES TO ADD

• Instead of using Facebook to inform me of kills, please just text me, that way I can get it right away and update the site. My number again is (847) 404-2385.
• For any conflicts based on whether something is against the rules or not, I will be the judge of it and my decision is final. I'm not the kind of person to cheat a team out of a loss. If one of the teams involved is my own, I will find someone else to make the decision.
• I plan to be able to update the site every night. It really isn't that difficult to do and only takes a couple of minutes, so I don't see why not. Also, I heard a rumor that the commish is supposed to take some of the money for being commish. That's such crap, this is fun for me, so I am not making any money off of being commish. 

Lets have a great season, once we get everyone in that wants to play ill make a schedule and start as soon as possible.
